Grow Your Business

Through a 4 point process, I work with business owners to help them uncover and create their optimal selling strategy.  This is accomplished by identifying the ideal client; understanding what is really important to them; using market research and intelligence data to show you where your customers are; and building a systematic approach for reaching and connecting with them.  After we build metric-driven processes and systems to win customers - the company will grow.

This is achieved through the practice of the following:

Research & Identification

Using market research, web analytics and monitoring tools, we can glean an amazing amount of data about your prospective customers and industry. Clearly identifying who your customers are, where they are, and what they are passionate about better enables you to connect with them in ways that are beneficial to them.

Strategic Marketing Collaboration

Strategic marketing is BIG picture thinking. Visioning or casting out a global view of where the company plans to go and how it brings value to its customers is what strategic marketing is about. Considering all things from developing your brand identify to developing your tactical marketing plan this is most often a series of meetings of the minds, brainstorming and putting a plan of action in place to then go and achieve the vision.

Social Media and Interactive Marketing

You could consider Social Media & Interactive Marketing one in the same but the terms tend to take on a different tactical execution. Social Media is more about the network and conversational nature of the web and personal interaction.  Engaging in conversations that are relevant to your personal interests or business objectives is what social media marketing is all about.

Interactive Marketing is more about using various tactical elements of marketing media to bring about participation from prospects and customers yet not always involving people.  A simple example of interactive marketing is hosting a Webinar to educate your customers about a product or service.  Webinars can be done live with real-time participation or could be recorded events.  Another example with out personal interaction could an interactive website that fosters a message and engages customers on various levels such as Toyota’s Why Not Innovation Website.

There are many more examples of interactive marketing and here are 3 examples to consider:  #1 Nike+ (click on What is it) - # 2 Apple (Genius Bar) - #3 User Voice ( Feedback Widget ). All of these example, tie in actual experiences with the product as a feedback loop and builds customer loyalty. Furhter, these interactive marketing scenarious encite natural positive customer recommendations. Probably the best marketing you cannot pay for (well, actually you do somehow).

Video Marketing

Video marketing is one of the most powerful mediums available today to showcase your product or service.  You can spend as much as you want or as little as you want and still have the opportunity to reach a global audience.  Video marketing is about telling a story and using visual elements to pique your viewers interest or deepen engagement.  From commercial development and syndication, to video blogging, to producing live web events I’ve done it all and can help you reach your target market.

Search Marketing

Search is an ever evolving science and I know more than the average bear.  Although, I recommend and work with a select few individuals who are masters at this trade and work closely with them to develop your overall search strategy.  You can go pretty crazy with developing a search campaign from running a PPC campaign to continuous SEO optimization but more than anything search takes time and a dedicated level of effort to produce results.

Web Development

From design to programming there is a lot to consider to be effective.  You have to consider your strategy, conversion goals, copy, search terms, user interface layout, applications you may want to integrate, hosting, coding, etc.  There are a fair number of things that go in building a website and comprenhensive web strategy.  If your business depends on your web presence - it’s best to let the pros do what they do best.  I certainly know a lot but even I cannot do it all myself.  However, having built a few websites from scratch I know where to put all the pieces to get things done :)
