Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my new site.  I’m still working on a few things but, I know you can appreciate reaching a milestone and marking something off your To Do list.  Check!

I’ve got some plans for this site and I’d love to here about some of the needs and wants that are out there but first, it might help if I tell you what I’m thinking.

Well, I really like working with Small and Medium sized businesses and I’ve always been an advocate for the opportunities that Entrepreneurs create for others.  So, what I plan to discuss, demonstrate, teach, and learn from you will be about the exciting and emerging field of social media or interactive marketing.  Call it what you may but really, it’s all about building relationships with people in my opinion.

Sure, it takes a lot of strategic thought, planning, design, development and much more to create an effective communications platform to engage people whom you want to do business with however; in the SMB & Big business world it still comes down to 1) getting things done and 2) treating people with respect.

Marketing — in a traditional sense or in the interactive age — is about capturing mindshare and building trust with in your prospective customers eyes.  Once you have someone’s attention and you’ve built trust, then it comes down to your product or service perceived value.  Of course, there is much more involved in marketing but, to break it down to the Fisher Price level, marketing is about generating warm leads and opportunities for your business to create new customer relationships with.  Once you have the customer you must do everything within your power to perform and strengthen your relationship as your customer will always be courted by your competitors.

So, what are your thoughts on this topic? And, what would you like to see discussed here? I look forward to your talking with you soon.

Cheers,
Jason
